Section 442: Period for possession and enjoyment of property in mortgage with possession

1) Except as otherwise provided in the deed of mortgage, no property in mortgage with possession may be possessed and enjoyed for a period exceeding ten years.

2) If the property in mortgage with possession is not redeemed within the period referred to in sub-section (1), the deed of mortgage shall be equivalent to an unsecured bond.
