Section 239: Compensation to be paid

Where the death of, or grievous hurt to, or other harm, injury or damage to, any person is caused from the commission of any offence referred to in this Chapter, reasonable compensation shall be ordered to be paid by the offender to the concerned victim and to his or her successor if the victim is dead.
