Section 422: Prohibition of transferring property in duplication

1) No person shall re-transfer to another person a property which he or she has already transferred or duplicated to some other person.

2) If any person transfers a property in contravention of sub-section (1), the deed of transfer registered at an earlier date shall get legal validity if the transfer of an immovable property has been made. If the transfer of a movable property has been made, the transfer to the person who acquires the property earlier shall be valid.
