1) If anyone has committed an offence as per this Act, and if the Fund communicates after seeing the possibility that the person could flee if not arrested immediately, the police personnel shall arrest such person arrest such person and hand him/her over to the Fund.

2) If the person arrested pursuant to sub-section (1) has to be kept under custody for investigation, then the investigation officer has to present that person before the case hearing authority within twenty-four hours, excluding the time for road travel.
