Section 143: Obligation to take care while importing, transporting or stockpiling explosives

1) A person who is licensed to carry out the transaction of explosives shall, in using, carrying, transporting or stockpiling such explosives, so use such explosives as to ensure adequate safety according to the nature of such explosives or carry, transport or stockpile such explosives, having kept them in appropriate magazines.

2) A person who does, or causes to be done, any act contrary to sub-section (1) shall be liable to a fine not exceeding fifty thousand rupees.
