Section 236: Prohibition of selling, distributing date-expired drugs or without taking precaution

1) No person shall sell any drug required to be used within a certain time period after the expiry of such date or sell or distribute any drug without taking any specific precaution if such precaution must be taken in the sale or distribution of such drug.

2) A person who commits, or causes to be committed, the offence referred to in sub-section (1) shall be liable to a sentence of imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year and a fine not exceeding ten thousand rupees.
