Section 603: Carrier’s obligations

1) It shall be the obligation of the carrier to carry the goods received from the owner of the goods for carriage to the specified destination in proper condition.

2) If the goods received from the owner of the goods for carriage are lost, destroyed, broken, defaced, or damaged, or the goods do not reach the specified destination in proper condition in any other manner, the carrier shall be liable for that.

3) The carrier shall carry the goods within the time specified in the contract, and within a reasonable time, if no period for transporting the goods is specified in the contract, and deliver the goods to the owner of the goods or his or her agent or a person designated by him or her.
