Section 697: Determination of the nature of corporate body

Question as regards whether a company, foundation, or other corporate body is public or private shall be determined according to the law of the country of incorporation of such a company, foundation, or body, and if such law cannot be ascertained, according to the law of the country where the registered office or headquarters of such a company, foundation, or corporate body is situated.
