Section 94: Prohibition of obstructing the giving of information

1) No person shall restrain or otherwise obstruct or hinder a person who, upon knowing that an offence has been committed or is about to be committed, intends to give information or notice about such offence to the police or competent authority.

2) A person who commits, or causes to be committed, the offence referred to in sub-section (1) shall be liable to a sentence of imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or a fine not exceeding twenty thousand rupees or both the sentences.
