Section 301: Prohibition search other’s body

1) No person, except the competent authority, or with the order of the competent authority, or a person deputed for security purpose, with the permission of the competent authority, shall search, or cause to be searched, another person’s body, vehicle or personal belongings without consent of that other person.

2) A person who commits, or causes to be committed, the offence referred to in sub-section (1) shall be liable to a sentence of imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or a fine not exceeding ten thousand rupees or both the sentences.
