Section 217: Compensation ordered to be paid

1) Reasonable compensation shall be ordered to be paid to the victim by the person who is held to have committed or caused the commission of any offence under this Chapter.

2) The compensation referred to in sub-section (1) shall be paid to the immediate successor to the victim if the victim is already dead.
