Section 119: Prohibition on living separately without consent

1) A son or daughter shall not, without the consent of his or her father or mother, live separately from his or her father or mother.

2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), a son or daughter may live separately from his or her father or mother in the following circumstances:

(a) If he or she is separated from his or her father or mother, with or without obtaining a partition according to law,

(b) If he or she concludes marriage,

(c) If he or she attains at least twenty-one years of age, or

(d) If he or she is already employed.
