Section 131: Guardian or curator may also exercise parental authority

If a minor is living with the guardian or curator for the reason that both of his or her mother and father have died or disappeared or his or her mother has concluded another marriage following the death of his or her father or both of his or her mother and father have become of unsound mind, his or her guardian or curator, as the case may be, may exercise such paternal authority and fulfil such responsibilities and duties as required to be exercised and fulfilled by the mother and father under this Chapter.
