Section 497: Each person to fulfil obligation

1) If more than one person has undertaken to fulfill an obligation or such an obligation has been created in relation to them, every person shall, except as otherwise provided for in the contract, fulfill such an obligation equally.

2) If any person is bound to fulfill any obligation vis-à-vis more than one person, he or she shall, except as otherwise provided for in the contract, fulfill the obligation vis-à-vis every person equally.
