Section 262: Legal action or defense may be made by any owner of joint property

1) If it is necessary to institute a legal action against any person or defend a case in relation to the protection of a joint property, all owners shall make such institution or defence.

2) If not all owners are available as referred to in sub-section (1), any owner may, on behalf of himself or herself or the other owners, institute legal action against any person or defend any case.
