Section 681: To bear liability jointly

1) If more than one person commits any act to be deemed a tort under this Chapter, each of such persons shall, except as otherwise proved, be jointly and severally liable for any damage caused by that act, in proportion to the culpability of the tort committed by each person.

2)  If separate liability can be determined in proportion to the culpability of tort pursuant to sub-section (1), liability shall be borne accordingly, and if such determination cannot be made, all persons responsible for the tort shall bear liability on an equal basis.
