Section 274: Compensation to be paid

1) If any person possesses any property forcibly, with mala fide intention or secretly, the person shall return the benefits derived from that possession and such property to the concerned person and pay a reasonable compensation for any loss caused to the property due to his or her negligence in the course of possessing such property.

2) If any property owned by anyone else is lost or damaged during the continuance of the possessory right of a person over the property, the person shall pay compensation for such property to the concerned person.
