1) The investigating officer shall make a copy or photocopy of the statement of the foreign exchange taken into custody in the course of the offence under this Act or statement pertaining thereto and certify the same.

2) Notwithstanding anything contained in the prevailing law, a copy or photocopy of the statement of the foreign exchange or statement pertaining thereto as certified pursuant to sub-section (1) may be produced as evidence in a case relating to the offence under this Act.
