Section 26: Waiver in the Claim of Punishment may be Happen

During the investigation and inquiry, an officer may provide a waiver in the claim of punishment, in full or part, to a person extending cooperation in regard to the investigation and inquiry proceedings initiated under the Act presenting such person as his/her witness.

Provided, notwithstanding anything contained in this Act or in prevailing laws, a lawsuit may be reregistered against such person if his/her cooperation could not be established from other proof/evidence or if he/she made a statement before the adjudicating officer against the cooperation extended by him/her to the investigation and inquiry officer.
