Section 71: Duties of the responsible person

It shall be the duty of the responsible person to ensure that any workplace, equipment, product or material is safe and healthy for the concerned work.

Explanation: For the purpose of this Section, “responsible person” means any person who has ownership or control over the workplace, equipment, product or material, and this term also includes any person or organisation assigned with the ownership or control in accordance with the agreement, if any, made in relation to the chief of such a workplace, use of the equipment, product or material.
