Section 44: Directors not to continue to hold the office

A Director shall not continue to hold the office in any of the following circumstances:-

(a) In case the resignation tendered by him or her is accepted by the Board,

(b) In case a decision is taken to remove him or her from the office of Director pursuant to sub-Section (1) of Section 45,

(c) In case he/she is the director of another Cooperative Organisation as well,

(d) In case he/she is an incumbent employee in the same Organisation or another organisation,

Provided that in case of the circumstance referred to in the proviso to sub-Section (4) of Section 41 shall be as stated there.

(e) In case he/she is a member of the Accounts Supervision Committee in the same Organisation or another organisation,

(f) In case he/she dies.
