Section 19A: Special investigation team may be formed

1) Notwithstanding anything contained in the prevailing law, if it is deemed appropriate to form an investigation team including experts in banking matters to investigate a case related to banking offences, the Government of Nepal may, in consultation with the Attorney General, the Inspector General of Police and the Nepal Rastra Bank, form such a team.

2) The special investigation team formed pursuant to sub-section (1) shall have the same powers as an officer conducting investigation and inquiry under this Act or prevailing law.
