Notwithstanding anything contained elsewhere under this Act, in the offence committed in the involvement of a person holding a public position under the prevailing laws or of a civil servant, if the offence is prosecutable or punishable pursuant to Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority Act, 2048 and the Corruption Prevention Act, 2059, the action shall be initiated and the punishment shall be given in accordance with the same Acts.
