Section 64: Prohibition of abetting rioting

1) No person shall, with intent to cause the commission of rioting or with the knowledge that rioting is likely to be committed, abet the commission of rioting by another person.

2) A person who abets under sub-section (1) shall be liable to a sentence of imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year, if the offence of rioting is committed, and to a sentence of imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months, if the offence of rioting is not committed, or to a fine not exceeding five thousand rupees or both sentences.
