1) The Rupee shall be the monetary unit of Nepal, and such Rupee shall be divided into one hundred Paisa.

2) The Rupee referred to in sub-section (1) shall be a legal tender within Nepal, and the Government of Nepal shall provide a guarantee for such Rupee.
