Section 10: Bonus to be given to the Agent or to a Member of the Family

1) An employee who cannot be present to receive a bonus may authorise any person, with a letter of consent, to receive the bonus payable to them.

2) In the event of an employee’s death, the bonus to be received by the employee, if bequeathed to someone by the employee, shall be given to that person. If no person has been designated, or if the designated person has also passed away before the employee, then the legal heir, in accordance with the applicable laws regarding inheritance, shall receive the bonus.

3) A person who is dissatisfied with the bonus distributed pursuant to sub-section (2) may file a complaint with the Labour Court within thirty-five days from the date of such distribution, and in such a case, the decision of the Labour Court shall be final.
