Section 7N: Special Attention to Trade

1) The indexing organisation shall pay special attention to the following business:

(a) All transactions of a complex, large or unusual nature for which no economic or legal purpose is apparent,

(b) Business relations or dealings with persons, entities or legal entities of a country identified as not complying with or only partially complying with international standards on the prevention of the laundering of assets and the financing of terrorist acts or

(c) Any other business as may be prescribed by the regulatory body.

2) The indicting agency shall, as far as practicable, examine the background and purpose of the transaction referred to in sub-section (1) and record in writing the findings from there.

3) The reporting entity shall preserve the records pursuant to sub-section (2) for at least five years. It shall promptly provide the financial information requested by the entity, the regulatory body or the authorised officer.
