Section 185: Performance of activities by higher level employee

1) Any function or duty that is required to be or may be performed by any government attorney, police officer or any other officer pursuant to this Act may also be performed by such government attorney of higher level or of the same level as designated by the Attorney General or by such police employee of higher level or of the same level as designated by the Inspector General of Police or by any other officer of higher level or of the same level in the concerned office.

2) Any function or duty performed pursuant to sub-section (1) shall be deemed to have been performed by the competent authority.
