Section 12: Personal Information Must be Kept Confidential

1) The entrepreneur shall maintain the confidentiality of personal information or personal details identifying any person related to electronic commerce.

2) The details that must be kept confidential pursuant to sub-section (1) shall not be given to anyone or used by the entrepreneur except in accordance with the prevailing law.

However, there shall be no obstacle to the exchange of information related to the transaction between the buyer, entrepreneur, or transporter involved in the purchase and sale of goods or services pursuant to the contract.

3) The entrepreneur shall not deprive any user of the facility for the buyer to enter their details, amend them, and close the source of their identification by entering the platform.

4) If anyone does any act contrary to sub-section (2), he shall be punished in accordance with the prevailing law.
