Section 104: Investigation may be conducted upon holding in detention or suspension or release on bail

1) Notwithstanding anything contained in the existing law, it shall be remembered in the investigation of a case of conviction under this Act that a person prosecuted for an offence under this Act may abscond and disappear.

2) If there is any reason to believe that a person prosecuted for an offence under this Act may, while continuing in office, cause the disappearance or destruction of evidence against him or interfere with the investigation of the case, the officer investigating the case in accordance with this Act may send such person in writing to the institution concerned for suspension.
